After high school I played several years of college basketball until I severely injured a knee. I quit school and worked various jobs until the early 90's when I moved to Bozeman, Montana to attend Montana State University and to experience some of the greatest flyfishing anywhere in the US. After graduation I started teaching and ended up teaching in Montana, Wyoming, and then Boise, Idaho. I received an MA degree in 2006 in Technology in Education. In May 2019 I underwent knee replacement surgery and spending my days in rehab.

School Story

My days at VHS were so consumed by my basketball playing. It was all I ever really thought about and didn't have a bunch of crazy stories that I would hear some of you talk about from your previous weekend adventures. I spent countless hours in the gym and at night I was almost always found in my backyard on the lighted court that my dad built for my brother and I. I do remember being scolded one day by Mr. Vannoy about missing some free throws in the previous nights game and him sending me to the gym during that class to go practice my free throws. I thought that was a really good trade-off! Hanging out on the counter tops in Mrs. Hayes office seemed to be where I was at often as well. The rest is a blur. I was very proud of the fact that I was the first player in Valley history to score over 40 points in a game. Something no one can take from me!!
