From the Valley High School Class of 1975 Reunion Committee

Dear Classmates:

It doesn’t seem that 40 years have passed since we all left our Valley High School years behind and ventured into our unknown futures.  Our future that held surprises, excitement, heartaches and I hope many moments of happiness.

We have become the survivors from an amazing period of history and we all have unique stories to tell of our passages.  While we share an important part of our past, we now have individual tales to tell of those 40 years since graduation.  Here’s an idea:  We should have a party to share and celebrate!  Celebrate and walk down memory lane; going to ballgames, play nights, homecomings, proms, Ice Cream Socials at Dairy Queen, Sadie Hopkins Dances and of course meeting at McDonald’s, Pizza Hut or Valley Park.  Since cell phones did not exist, our only communication for easy access to our friends was through these events.

Let’s make it a party and a celebration that we will never forget.  We want this to be the best gathering of friends and classmates we’ve ever had.  We just need you to make it complete.

Please set aside the date of August 22nd, 2015 for a wonderful time with old and new friends.  The Class of 1975 invites classmates that graduated in 1972, 1973, 1974, 1976 and 1977.  We are also inviting any Valley High School Graduate.  We really hope you won’t miss this reunion; like things in life, there will be no do-overs for our 40th Reunion.

Your reunion committee is working very hard to get in touch with all our classmates and make this a wonderful party.  We have negotiated special pricing for our class to celebrate in a 5 star accommodation.  We will only have one 40th Reunion Celebration and this is guaranteed to be a night that will remain as one of your favorite memories.  On the Reunion Details page, we are including links to look at the venue we have chosen; we think you’ll agree that it’s an amazing location.

There are further details regarding the costs, events and other information on the Reunion Details Tab.  More information about registering, menus and all the other important details will be coming, so check back on the website regularly.

We know that some classmates may not be able to attend this reunion.  But, we don’t want anyone to be left out, so please pick someone and say I to a fellow classmate using the ‘Message Center’ tab when you visit the website.

Our website is designed to be more than an information source; it’s a time machine that you can use to touch people you haven’t seen or talked to in years.  More and more classmates are signing on and messaging each other.  Please join the fun.  It’s easy and safe and secure (contact the web admins if you have questions – go to the ‘Contact Us’ Tab).  There are no strangers on our VHS Reunion website, make new friend or reach out to an old one.

We hope all of you will start planning for the best party that VHS has ever had.  We may be older and we certainly all look different (trust me, we do!), but our hearts and minds remain Vikings forever.  Join us for the party celebration!

More detail to follow.

Everything you need to know about setting up a profile to gain access to the rest of our page is on this page. If you have questions, please contact Bernadette C Garcia on her profile.

In order to access the pages that are password protected on this site, you must set up a profile by providing a minimum of your email address, and a password.

To set up your profile: locate the "Classmate Profiles" link and locate your name and click on it. Follow the prompts to create your profile.

Private information like your email address, home address, and phone numbers will not be visible to fellow classmates. We collect mailing addresses in the event that we need to contact you by snail mail or phone. Your information will never be given to other classmates without your permission.

We encourage you to add a current picture to your profile as a master photo. This photo will be displayed in various areas around the site. It's also helpful to upload an additional "Now" photo, and a "Then" photo. Classmates will enjoy seeing how you've changed!

If your name is not already on the site, but you were part of the Valley High School Class of 1975, contact us and your name will be added.

Updates: If you change your email address, snail mail address, or phone number, please update your Contact Info so we have up to date information. That way you'll always be in the know about what your classmates are up to!

Choosing a password: Passwords do not need to be the high security style recommended for some sites. Choose something simple that you are certain you will remember. Clicking the "Remember Me" will allow you to bypass entering the password each time you visit, but eventually the "remember me" will fail (for instance when you get a new computer). Please make note of your password!

If you forget your password simply click on "forgot password". If you have several email accounts, and you don't remember the one you used to set-up your account, contact Bernadette C Garcia. This could take a while so please be patient.

The wonderful part about this site is that it came pre-setup by Class Creator. I just had to enter names. The site assembles a missing list for us, based solely on the names of people who don't have profiles; so until you have a profile, the site will consider you "missing".

Also, please note: We need your help to contact EVERY classmate. If you have information about any classmate, listed or not listed, please contact Bernadette C Garcia

To contact a fellow classmate, you may simply use the email option at the top left of each Classmate's Profile page (located under Master Photo). This feature will allow open communication between Classmates, while protecting your personal information. If you wish to share your email address or other personal information within a message written on our site, the site will not block you from doing so.

Adding current pictures is not a requirement to participate on the site, but it certainly is a nice way to get to know people again. We've had reports of classmates who were routinely running into each other without knowing it, because...well....we've all changed a little over the years! :)
